I decided to get a little creative with this months unit in preschool. Our months theme is all about our Amazing Body, so I turned our dramatic play area into a hospital 🏨🚑🏥 I just love emojis 😀
First I emptied all the "home living" stuff from the area...what a mess.
I used the kitchen as shelves for medications and simply used painters tape to outline a building shape for the "hospital ". I found an eye chart online and made signs with clip art.
An old bandage container and felt scraps made great bandaids! Cotton balls, tongue compressers, qtips, ace bandages, empty medicine boxes and bottles, borrowed stethoscope, digital thermometer and several toy doctor tools make-up a full service hospital!
Last year I picked up posters at the Dollar Tree that work perfect for the "Exam Room" and a picture from our Mother Goose Curriculum made a great X-ray. I got a free printable from Here to assist their "examination ". 😉 A cot makes a great exam table for big kids and the changing table works for the baby doll exams.
Added some borrowed scrubs and Doc McStuffins costumes and just like that we have a full service hospital!
Let imagination begin!
